The Freeride World Tour (FWT) brings together
the best freeriders in the world. The second edition of this unique
series of international events was completed in March 2009, culminating
in the legendary Nissan Xtreme in Verbier , the final of the tour. In 2010 FWT will visit four international destinations.The first stop of the tour is Sochi in Russia, and before the final in Verbier, FWT will visit Squaw Valley in US and Chamonix in France. The tour will also be supported by a selection of qualifying events, the Freeride World Qualifiers . After the final in Verbier, the four Freeride World Champions (ski/snowboard/men/women) will be crowned. The Tour is endowed with a purse of $200,000, the highest sum ever to be paid in ski or snowboard freeride contests. FWT events:
